 Well, I'm not expert like certainly you are, so take my comments for what they are: just comments (I cannot write critiques with the arranged form for I'm not a premium).
Everything is still in the shot but the two-third line (approximately) formed by the actors. Very nice composition, due to the cool synchronization of the movements and facial expressions of the two perspective planes. As usual in your BW picture, impressive use of light. Observing that one is suspended over a stump, the other sat on a drum (?), it lends itself to some metaphorical interpretation which I chose not to deal with, since photography, like poetry, is to be admired, not explained. yes slash on a musical box something as drum
